As someone who is uninterested in the ordinary, I like to read books that aren’t run-of-the-mill. I enjoy fiction that is quirky and unusual, and non-fiction that gets me thinking. Encounters with friends who have enjoyed my book recommendations prompted me to put together this blog as an unofficial Readers’ Advisory. As I began to think of which books I would list here, I realized that so much more could be added. A page about Book Art, for example. As a library and information professional, I thought that tips on caring for books might come in handy to the casual book collector as well.
So welcome to BookNotes Blog. Peruse at your leisure, and please send me any suggestions (for book titles, additional resources, etc.). They are always appreciated!
Don’t forget to post a review about The Woman in White when you can! One of the few books I have ever read where I could not turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. I even remember finding myself often talking out loud to the book, it was that good and all thanks to your recommendation!

Thank you, Wendy, for your comment! I do intend to put The Woman in White in my ‘Fiction: not quirky’ readers’ advisory list, because I remember being as surprised as you were by what a thrilling story it is. Thanks again for your suggestion!

I would suggest Monkey Talk and The 13th Prophet by T. Lucas Earle (short stories) Both are philosophical sci-fi.
